This fairy gown is made in silk, hand dyed with gifts of Mother Nature:
the deep pink silk is hand dyed with poppies and holding it actually feels like touching a poppy petal!
The mauve chiffon is hand dyed with black rice, also the feels of the fabric is crispy like dipping a hand in a bag full of rice!
The dress has a princess bustier with off the shoulder straps and the skirt is light and flow-y, slightly aline.
The bustier is lined in stiff hemp, entirely boned for a perfect fit.
The deep pink and the mauve are layered and the neckline has a tattered chiffon applique which gives the dress a bohemian fairy look.
The back has a corset as closure with cotton lace applique.
I love the color palette of the skirt, tiered using both the natural colors:
the mauve chiffon upper layer is high low, the deep pink silk is used as under layer.
The colors are irregular, as they are dyed by hand with organic colors: I actually used petals and rice for the dying not ready-made pigments.
The natural dyes is very delicate and precious, the dress must be hand washed in cold water only, using organic soap and hang dried away from the direct sunlight.
The colors may fade a bit as the years pass.
This is a One of a kind gown but I can make this design in ivory or bridal white in your measurements!
The dress will fit the following measurements:
– Bust circumference from 35 inches to 37 inches
